Tom Dixon on fire.

Scent Candle

Tom Dixon Scented Candles

Tom Dixon is one of our all time biggest design crushes…
Yes had we been living in London we would have queued for days to get one of those chairs…
Tom has launched his first collection of gifts and accessories. The collection is called Eclectic it’s smaller-scale everyday home accessories, giftware, and design objects using honest and resilient materials recognisable to Tom’s other well known furniture & lighting products.

Here, we have his collection of scented candles created to
capture the essence of the travelling, trading, and nostalgic British past.

The scent calls to London, the smell of red brick, London parks with crocuses and nettles and salty smell of the Thames at Dagenham.
The scented candle is encased in a brass vessel and topped with a solid marble lid. The lid doubles as a protective base.

The scent captures the faint memory of an Indian wedding with rose petal garland, giant cinnamon sticks on beach stalls and the musky smells of the Chinese herbal market.
The candle is encased in a copper vessel and topped with a solid marble lid. The lid doubles as a protective base.

The scent is a reminiscence of tea time with a pot of Earl Grey, scones, strawberry jam and the drive home in a ’52 Bentley with tatty leather seats
The scented candle is encased in a hand-spun vessel formed in nickel with a solid marble lid.
The lid doubles as a protective base.

Sometimes you should gild the lily.

Jonathan Adler Muse

The good folks at Johnathon Adler headquarters searched long and hard to develop a gold glaze that doesn’t obscure the details of the muse face, and they finally found it.

The chic and classique muse candle updated with a semi gloss gold glaze is a perfect holiday gift.

And after the candle is gone?

The vessel is perfect pot for a posse of pretty posies.

The real question is, how will you use your Amac Boxes?

Medium Amac Boxes

Amac boxes bring out the architect in all of us whilst simultaneously sorting your storage, packing, and organizational needs.

Clean and simple, understated and elegant, clear in form and function – classically modern….Amac boxes have quite a pedigree built on the Modernist Principles of founder Gene Hurwitt.

The boxes were created in the bohemian enclave of Sausalito, California, and are part of the permanent collection of New York’s MoMA. If it’s good enough for MoMA, hey it’s good enough for me and you.

Good to know that Amac are made from non-BPA, and are food grade plastic.

Well, you can use them anywhere, string the vibrant pom poms on a Christmas Tree, across a mantle, over a window, above a bed, over the party table…you get the idea.

Happiness in jar!

Oh, and I should share, I have been known to use this garland for the ultimate in gift-wrapping!

Sweety is sweet.

Sweety door stop 4

Sweety is a clever little bird – who stops doors! And traffic.
Slip his lovely elongated tail under the door and he will hold it for you – it’s a very simple functional product.

But you know what, when he’s not stopping doors, he’s so good looking and charming, that he could easily just sit there accessorizing the place, looking sweet.

He arrives packaged in a cute little kraft board noodle box – a great little nest.

The other great thing about Sweety is he is manufactured by Side by Side which is a fab collaboration of various workshops for the handicapped, who together with young designers make high quality cool products – it’s win win!
